Ten Years of Big Top

Ten years. That’s how long Big Top has been in business! It feels like yesterday and decades ago at the same time. 

We haven’t always been Big Top; for the first 18 months we were Circus but rebranded when we found out there was a Circus London operating on our turf! Betty the elephant – our wonderful logo – has remained at the helm throughout. Fun fact – Betty is named in honour of our founder Charlie’s gran. They share Elizabeth as a middle name – as does her niece Harriett.

When setting up Big Top, Charlie already had 20 years of experience in PR – specifically working for local and global exhibition, conference and award organisers – and over the last 10 years, we have built on those foundations to become THE go-to PR agency for the events industry.

We love working in events because – well, we know the industry inside out, for a start, and to get great results, you need to understand the minutiae. Plus, we get to work in so many amazing sectors – business and leisure travel, MICE, retail, brand licensing, science and technology, safety and security, charity, sustainability, manufacturing, food, and many more.

Of course, we have some amazing non-events clients, too – so sending love to Retail Trust, Devolver Digital, CTM and SilverDoor!
