New Scientist Live 2023: our results

Dr Tim Gregory speaking at New Scientist Live 2023

What a weekend!

This year was our first working with the team behind New Scientist Live and managing the press office onsite.

It’s such a special event - a brand we’ve been desperate to work with for years because it really understands its audience and provides amazing, high-quality content that brings them in droves.

After months of hard work selling in the event to consumer press and influencers to help the marketing team drive brand awareness and ticket sales, Sally and Mark headed down to ExCeL, London.

Sally said: “It was fascinating to meet so many inspiring speakers. New Scientist Live is like being at the best university in the world - the world's brightest minds in science all under one roof. Meeting the journalists and influencers in person is always rewarding too! It was fantastic to spend time with journalists from titles including Daily Mail, Evening Standard, Good Housekeeping, BBC and many more.”

And as for the results of our hard work?

  • 57 journalists attended the event - some with their families - including BBC, Daily Mail, Good Housekeeping, Evening Standard, The Week Junior and Live Science.

  • Ongoing engagement across social media from influencers and press attendees

And, this isn’t the end - we’re looking forward to more coverage rolling in as post-show pieces appear.

Here’s to next year!
